6. Danny Robison – Montana State

A 6’8 forward from Billings, Robison carved out a role for himself across four seasons playing at Montana State. He was one of the state’s best high school basketball players when he arrived at college in 2012, and put together a pretty decent career for someone from the state of Montana.

His contributions were limited in the beginning, but he began earning starts as a sophomore. He spent most of his final two seasons in the starting lineup for the Bobcats, averaging 9.2 points and 4.6 rebounds per game as a junior. That team struggled mightily, but he did score a career-high 24 points in a game against Portland and finished fourth on the team in scoring. His stats were slightly lower as senior, but the team played better, with Robison settling into a bench role by season’s end despite being a team captain.

He wasn’t playing full-time minutes, but Robinson did rank among the Big Sky’s best rebounders near the end of his career, ranking 6th in the conference in offensive rebounds as a senior. He was an above average rebounder who had spurts of solid offensive play, making 45% of his field goals during his career. Robison was not a breakout athlete, but did play a role for the Bobcats and his contributions were certainly important for that program prior to his graduation in 2016.
