4. Tyler Bey – Colorado

A 6’7 guard from Las Vegas, Bey found himself a home at Colorado, starring in the Pac-12 during his collegiate career. He spent three seasons putting up some solid numbers under coach Tad Boyle, really breaking out in his final two years in the college game.

Bey’s freshman campaign wasn’t bad at all, but he really improved upon it. As a sophomore, he averaged 13.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game, with a pair of 27-point efforts in wins over Oregon and UCLA. While he didn’t play in the Big Dance while with the Buffaloes, another impressive season followed, with very similar numbers, as well as a career-high 19 rebounds in a win over Wyoming early in the season.

Those last two seasons won Bey a trophy case full of accolades, being named All-Pac-12 First Team and Most Improved Player as a sophomore and All-Pac-12 Second Team and Defensive Player of the Year as a junior. He led the conference in defensive rebounds in both seasons, while his defensive statistics were off the chart. He was a second round draft pick in 2020, but has most recently been playing ball overseas in Israel, continuing his career as an impressive defensive guard.
