5. Caleb Green – Holy Cross / Fairfield

A 5’10 point guard from Londonderry, Green played an active role on multiple teams as a starting guard. Green began his career with a pair of seasons under Bill Carmody at Holy Cross, transferring after his coach retired in 2019. After sitting out a year to transfer, he’d play the next two seasons at a Fairfield in the MAAC. He started all but two of the 121 games he played across those four years on the court.

At Holy Cross, he was a decent scorer and distributor, averaging 9.9 points and 3.1 assists across both of his first two seasons. He had a 22-point performance very early in his career and added a career-high 25 points in a loss to Lehigh as a sophomore. After his transfer, he became Fairfield’s point guard, but had less consistent offensive numbers. While his shooting numbers were down a bit, he was still an important cog in the offense for the Stags, averaging nearly 3 assists per game in both of those seasons.

Bizarrely, Green ranked exactly 12th in his conference every single year in assists per game. He had decent shooting numbers at Holy Cross, but his important was more in running the offense while at Fairfield at the end of his career. He was always on the court, leading his conference in minutes played multiple times, and certainly played a memorable role for leading both of these programs.
