10. Seth Curry – Liberty / Duke

When this 6’2 guard was preparing to begin his collegiate career, the eyes of the basketball world were on his brother. Seth Curry arrived on campus at Liberty in 2008, just a few months after brother Stephen led Davidson on a run to the Elite Eight and emerged as a future star of the game. The younger Curry stayed just a single season after starring at Liberty, spending his final three seasons making an impact at Duke.

Curry had an outstanding freshman season at Liberty, averaging 20.2 points per game for a Flames team that won 23 games. He also scored a career-high 35 points in a win over VMI. After sitting out the next season due to transferring, he had three great seasons in Duke’s backcourt. He had a number of impressive performances those next few seasons before averaging 17.5 points per game as a senior. A talented shooter, much like his brother, he made just under 44% of his 3-pointers as a senior and helped lead Duke to the Elite Eight, scoring 29 points in their Sweet Sixteen victory over Michigan State.

First off, Curry was one of the best freshmen in Big South history, easily winning Rookie of the Year and was named All-Big South Second Team. At Duke, he was a two-time All-ACC player, earning First Team honors as a senior, and was one of the conference’s best free throw shooters throughout his run with the Blue Devils. He was not drafted in 2013 but has spent a good portion of the last nine seasons playing in the NBA, getting significant minutes in recent seasons.
