2. A. J. Jacobson – North Dakota State

Next up we have a 6’6 guard from North Dakota who stayed in state just like a number of other players on today’s list. Jacobson starred at North Dakota State across four seasons, arriving in Fargo in 2014 and leaving a four-year starter and impactful presence.

Jacobson averaged double-digit points in each of his first three seasons, including 12.7 points per game during his sophomore campaign. He was one of the Summit League’s most consistent shooters, making just over 40% of his 3-pointers, including a near 45% mark as a senior. He set career-highs with 26 points and 12 rebounds in a win over rival South Dakota State and helped lead the program to the NCAA Tournament as a freshman.

Jacobson was a fantastic player who starred at the high school level and did considerable work in college. He ranks among the Summit League’s most efficient players, ranking among the conference leaders multiples times in points, rebounds and long-distance shooting. Jacobson had a very consistent career on one of the Summit League’s best programs and did it all not too far from home.
