10. Brandon Suggs – UCF Knights

Suggs comes to UCF after three seasons within the conference at East Carolina, a span in which he averaged a combined 9.2 PPG, 3.8 RPG, and 2.1 APG on 43.4% shooting from the field. Looking at that span as well, Suggs is also coming off a career 2021-22 season, one in which the 6-foot-6 wing averaged 10.1 PPG, 4.1 RPG, 2.6 APG, and 1.5 SPG.

While not necessarily the biggest three-point shooting threat at a career 29.6% mark, Suggs is a player who still makes a key impact on the offensive end, as well as on defense where he ranked Top 20 in AAC Basketball a year ago in steals. A career 9/3/2 player at East Carolina, Suggs should post a similar stat line in 2022-23 at UCF as one of the Knight’s top options on the wing.

9. Elijah McCadden – Memphis Tigers

A 6-foot-4 guard, McCadden transferred to Memphis during the offseason coming off four strong seasons at Georgia Southern, three of which the senior averaged double-figure scoring. McCadden is also coming off arguably the best single season of his collegiate career, one in which he was named the Sun Belt Sixth Man of the Year by averaging 11.7 PPG, 4.6 RPG, and 2.6 APG on 47.1% shooting from the field.

A career 9.3 PPG scorer, McCadden is a player who has the potential to score from all three levels but is coming off a down year when it comes to three-point shooting as the senior shot 23.4% (11-of-47) a year ago after 33.8% in 2020-21 (24-of-71). A strong rebounder for the position as well, McCadden should be an all-around impact player for Memphis this season, one who brings experience to the Tigers.
