2. Landers Nolley II – Cincinnati Bearcats

After originally beginning his collegiate career at Virginia Tech, Nolley would transfer into AAC Basketball prior to the 2020-21 season where he would suit up for Memphis. After two strong seasons with the Tigers where he averaged a combined 11.5 PPG, 4 RPG, and 2.3 APG on 36.7% shooting from three, Nolley now transfers once again, this time staying within the conference as the 6-foot-7 wing takes his talents to Cincinnati.

A First Team All-AAC selection in 2020-21, Nolley took a small step back in production a year ago with the Tigers averaging a career-low 9.8 PPG, while also starting in a little over half of Memphis’ games last season. The redshirt senior is likely a starter for the Bearcats in 2022-23 as well and is the arguable preseason favorite to lead Cincinnati in scoring this season.

1. Kendric Davis – Memphis Tigers

While the top five on this list are loaded with talent, you could also make the argument that the gap between the top spot and the remainder of that group is a sizable one. That is because Davis, a combined 19.2 PPG scorer across the last two seasons at SMU, holds the top spot, a name that has led AAC Basketball in scoring each of the last two years.

The 2021-22 AAC Player of the Year, Davis is coming off a season in which he averaged 19.4 PPG, 3.8 RPG, and 4.4 APG at SMU, while also shooting a combined 37.2% from three and 86.8% from the free throw line. Having also averaged a combined 17.5 PPG across the past three seasons with the Mustangs, the two-time First Team All-AAC transferred within the conference to Memphis where Davis is near lock to lead both the Tigers and AAC in scoring once again this season.
