9. Shake Milton – SMU

A top 100 recruit back in the class of 2015, Milton is a 6’5 guard from Owasso who certainly found his place at SMU. Originally recruited to the school by Larry Brown, he played for the Mustangs under both Brown and successor Tim Jankovich, starring for three seasons and winning a plethora of games while in Dallas.

Milton was already averaging double-digit points per game as a freshman and was one of the finest scorers in the AAC in his career. He helped lead the Mustangs to a 30-win season as a sophomore, winning the AAC Tournament and putting together a really fantastic season. Milton averaged 18.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 4.0 assists during his junior season, including a career-high 33-point performance in a road win over Wichita State.

Honored as one of the league’s best rookies as a freshman, he was named to the All-AAC Second Team in each of his final two seasons, ranking among the conference’s best offensive players in his final season. He was the third-leading scorer on a very potent SMU squad in 2017 and certainly made his mark while with the Mustangs. He was one of the final draft picks in the 2018 NBA Draft, and the former 4-star recruit has played nearly 200 NBA games across the last four seasons.
