8. Khalif Wyatt – Temple

A 6’4 guard from Norristown, Wyatt stayed in his home state, playing his collegiate ball at Temple. Wyatt didn’t get much play early on, but developed into a vital piece for the Owls. He arrived at Temple way back in 2009 and his four years on campus were the Owls’ final four seasons as members of the A-10.

After playing very minimally as a freshman, he was a solid bench player as a sophomore, averaging just over 10 points a game. He helped lead the Owls to a pair of NCAA Tournament wins, including a pair of 31-point performances during the 2013 NCAA Tournament. That senior season was by far his best effort, averaging 20.5 points and 4.0 assists per game, though his junior year wasn’t half bad either. In all, Temple won 103 games across his four seasons, which is far better than any recent recruiting classes have done.

Wyatt was named A-10 Player of the Year for that impressive senior season while winning All-A-10 honors twice and Sixth Man of the Year for that breakout sophomore campaign. That final year saw him lead the A-10 in points, while his assist, steals, and free throw numbers were all impressive on a regular basis. Temple really hasn’t been the same since Wyatt led the charge and the program was in the A-10. He’s continued his basketball career overseas in recent years, playing in Romania during his last stop.
