NCAA Basketball Recruiting: Analyzing top-75 forward Eric Dailey top 8 teams
Michigan Wolverines
The forward positions for Michigan are completely up in the air after losing both Caleb Houstan and Moussa Diabate left for the pros. Outside of 5th-year senior transfer Joey Baker, the new core are a bunch of unproven underclassmen. Guys like Jett Howard, Terrence Williams, and Youssef Khayat could very well become key focal points of the offense in the future but for someone like Dailey, there’s no one around that would scare him off.
The only point to make for the Wolverines is that they’re after Papa Kante, a top-40 forward in the 2023 class. If they were to land him, I’m not sure how it would affect Dailey’s recruitment since we don’t know the makeup of the frontcourt for the following year. But it’s a top option and seeing how Coach Juwan Howard has done with combo forwards in the past, it makes sense to have them in the running.
Oklahoma State Cowboys
The Cowboys recently landed three-star small forward Connor Dow in the 2023 class and would like to add one more forward. They have four-star and top-100 power forward prospect Brandon Garrison, who is the No. 1 recruit in the state.
This is a program that lacks top-end talent so there is an opportunity for someone like Dailey to come in and have an impact. Yet I’m sure that he and Garrison would be a great fit and OK State was an awful three-point shooting team so having the recruit in question play at the three wouldn’t be ideal.
