Schedule Overview and Outlook

This year, the Bobcats will be playing the typical 11 non-conference games before getting into conference play in December. They are playing in a new multi-team event (MTE) called the Northern Classic, which is taking place in Quebec. They will be playing three of the following five teams: Hofstra, Middle Tennessee, Stephen F. Austin, Montana St., and UNC Greensboro.

The Bobcats will be playing three home non-conference games against Dartmouth, Lafayette, and Division II Albertus Magnus. The remaining five non-con games are all on the road. They start the year with three straight road games @Rhode Island, @Stonehill, and @CCSU. They also play @Holy Cross and, in their most anticipated game of the year, travel to State College to take on Penn St. in late December.

Quinnipiac is scheduled to play their typical conference round-robin schedule and play each MAAC team on the road and at home. They open up MAAC play at home against Niagara in early December, which is usually how the conference schedules their conference play openers. They have two weeks before their next conference game against St. Peter’s, but after that it’s MAAC the rest of the way.

The Bobcats close out the regular season with a tough stretch, as five of the final seven games are on the road. Last year Coach Dunleavy’s squad fell apart the last few weeks of the season, so it will be interesting to see how they handle the home stretch this season.

After the 20 conference games, the Bobcats will head to Atlantic City, NJ once again for the 2023 MAAC Tournament in hopes of catching fire at the right time and playing their way into the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history at the Division I level.
