Stanford has even more length coming off the bench

While last season Stanford had 10 guys average double-digit minutes but this year the rotation may not go that deep but that could be a good thing because the quality of that depth should be much improved. In the frontcourt, Max Murrell who jumped into the starting lineup late in the year should play a bigger role.

The real impact should come from the newcomers including Michael Jones who comes over from Davidson. Jones would’ve been 2nd on the Cardinal last season with his 11.8 points per game, but what the 6’5 senior* has a chance to bring to his new team is perimeter shooting. Jones shot 42% from beyond the arc last season on 164 attempts. That skill is sorely needed for a team that shot just 33% last season.

The other major contributors off the bench will be the pair of freshmen that Haase has brought in, both of whom are small forwards. Jaylen Thompson is a four-star recruit out of California and Ryan Agarwal comes to Palo Alto by way of Coppell, Texas. Both guys give Haase talent and versatility to add to Jones and Ingram. Other reserves in the frontcourt include max Murrell and the 7’1 big man Maxime Raynaud and sophomore Isa Silva adds even more depth to the backcourt.
