Their schedule is one they can get some wins out of

The first three games of Stanford’s season see them hosting Pacific on Nov. 7 and then they head to Milwaukee for a neutral-site game with the Wisconsin Badgers, before traveling back come four days later to take on San Diego State. D

uring the Thanksgiving holiday, the Cardinal will take part in the ESPN Events Invitational in Florida in what should be three good litmus tests for the improving Cardinal. In game one they take on Mississippi and then will do battle with either Florida State or Siena. In their last game in Florida Stanford will take on either Oklahoma, Nebraska, Memphis, or Seton Hall.

Upon returning to Palo Alto they take on a pair of conference foes when they host UCLA on Dec. 1 and travel to Tempe to take on Arizona State on Dec. 4. The Cardinal finish up their non-conference slate by hosting Green Bay and then take on the Texas Longhorns in Dallas prior to Christmas.

The schedule has its challenges especially early on but it is also the type of schedule where a team that is trying to improve and make a jump can have some success against good competition. By the time the team returns from Florida we should have a snapshot of what kind of improvements the team has made over last season.
