There are hundreds more NCAA Basketball programs than teams in the NBA or other professional leagues. That is one of the reasons that this sport is harder to follow for some fans. Even diehard fans don’t know everything about all of the random teams in Division 1, but is that really a problem? What’s important is what happens in the NCAA Tournament, when ignored programs and unknown names become known in households and bars across the nation.

Even before the NCAA Tournament begins there are many legacies being created. Our focus today is the continuation of our long-running series, looking closely at the best college basketball players of the last ten years from each state. Not every player on these lists has that moment in the NCAA Tournament or that chance to stand out on the sport’s biggest stage. However, the state of Tennessee has managed to produce some pretty incredible talent for us all to enjoy watching.

Today is not about the Volunteers, but we’ll see them mentioned a bit in the coming slides. Today’s focus is on players from this state. While many don’t exactly see Tennessee as a hotbed for basketball talent, it has actually produced an immense amount of talent in recent years. The players on today’s list aren’t necessarily blue chip prospects or postseason heroes but not a single one can be called unimpressive or undeserving of inclusion.

Tennessee has really produced; that’s one thing we’ll certainly have confirmed by the end of the article. Today’s players all hail from the state, with their hometowns listed as being from Tennessee. It doesn’t matter where a player went to high school or college, as this isn’t a piece about the best players who went to college in this state. Anyways, we’re looking at a number of fantastic players starring across the last ten years; let’s get right into the rankings.
