Louisville Cardinals

The Cardinals recently landed yet another wing in the 2023 class in Curtis Williams to pair with Kaleb Glenn. The wings and frontcourt on the roster are set for the future but the backcourt remains bare, with El Ellis and three-star freshman Fabio Basili as the lone true perimeter players. That could very much change if five-star prospect DJ Wagner picks the program. It’s 50/50 right now between them and Kentucky at the moment.

Even if Wagner picks Louisville, Washington can come in and have an impact next to a future pro. And if he doesn’t, then the four-star recruit can easily come in and potentially run the offense and play more on the ball. There are a lot of minutes available compared to Ohio State and even Dayton, which could be a big factor in their favor.

Michigan Wolverines

What a twist it would be if the Wolverines get its rivals’ former commit. And they could use him, as the backcourt is lacking in depth. That would be even more true if Princeton transfer Jaelin Llewellyn is only around for one season. They have four-star freshman Dug McDaniel as the backup but shooting guard is more of a long concern, as projected starter, Kobe Bufkin, is unproven to this point.

Transfers certainly can play a role next offseason but on paper, Washington could get a ton of minutes his freshman year and a clear pathway towards a key role on the offense going forward. And again, picking the rival of Ohio State would be highly motivating.
