Arrinten Page had USC Basketball among his four finalists a few weeks ago. Now the Pac-12 program gets its second commitment within a week.
It’s been a nice few days for USC Basketball, entering this past weekend with zero commitments for the 2023 class and am now at two total. It started with the pickup of Silas Demary Jr., a four-star combo guard ranked in the top 75 overall. He picked the Trojans over the likes of Arizona State and VCU and can play and defend multiple positions.
And joining him now is Arrinten Page, a consensus four-star frontcourt recruit that’s also ranked in the top 100 overall. The 6’9 and 220-pound forward from Marietta, Georgia had the Trojans among his four finalists, with Indiana, Cincinnati, and Miami. In the end, only one was left standing in USC.
From a roster perspective, Page was a needed addition to what’s currently a fairly light frontcourt. The only true power forward on the roster is Kijani Wright, a top-30 freshman that could be a “one and done”. And with the other freshman, center Vincent Iwuchukwu, currently sidelined indefinitely with a heart issue, the frontcourt is in need of multiple newcomers in the class.
With two commitments down, all eyes are on a high school teammate of Page’s in Isaiah Collier. He’s not only a consensus five-star prospect in the 2023 class but some recruiting services have him as the No. 1 overall player.
The 6’3 true point guard has the Trojans in his final four list, with UCLA, Michigan, and Cincinnati also in contention. His decision is coming this weekend on the 16th and the Pac-12 program has a real chance to not only land the top player in the class but get a top-10 overall class too.
Head coach Andy Enfield has landed five-star prospects before, including No. 3 overall class of 2020 recruit, Evan Mobley. Thanks to the pickup of Page, the Trojans are in a good position to get one ranked even higher.
