Projected Starters

Guard – Nijel Pack (Junior)

The Hurricanes’ big splash, Pack is a fantastic guard who starred for two seasons at Kansas State. Named First Team All-Big 12 last season, he averaged 17.4 points per game and made just over 43% of his 3-pointers. He’ll slide into the point guard role this year for the Hurricanes and be incredibly important for the offense, both as a shooter and in setting up his teammates as well.

Guard – Isaiah Wong (Senior)

A 6’4 wing entering his fourth season with the Hurricanes, Wong is the leading returning scorer from last year’s squad, averaging 15.3 points a game. He’s been All-ACC the last two seasons and had 20 points in two of the team’s upset wins during that Elite Eight run. His 3-point shooting fell off a bit last season, but he takes care of the basketball and he’ll be a vital part of this team’s success.

Guard – Jordan Miller (Senior)

A former All-A-10 player at George Mason, Miller enters his second and final season with the Hurricanes, having averaged double-digit points per game in each of his fourth collegiate campaigns. He had a few nice performances in the Big Dance last season and is a versatile threat that can do a lot of the little things for this team.

Forward – Anthony Walker (Junior)

After coming in off the bench for most of last season, Walker slides back into that starting lineup at the 4. His touch around the rim isn’t bad at all, but Walker still has work to do on the defensive side of the ball; he’ll get plenty more chances to do that this season.

Forward – Norchad Omier (Junior)

Last year’s Sun Belt Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year takes over in the paint for the Hurricanes hoping to have a similar impact in the ACC. He averaged 17.9 points and 12.2 rebounds last season and rated as one of the Sun Belt’s best defensive players in history. Omier is an impressive force down low and a dynamic rebounder who brings a fantastic presence to a team lacking size at other positions on the court.
