Key Reserves

Forward – Keshad Johnson (Senior)

Johnson was the full-time starter at power forward last season and may still get starting-level minutes this season after averaging 7.2 points for the Aztecs. Johnson is a stout defender capable of playing all over the court, while he also possesses a solid jumper and above-average athleticism.

Guard – Adam Seiko (Senior)

Seiko has improved with each passing season and now returns for his fifth and final year with the Aztecs. He averaged just 5.3 points a game last year, but made over 40% of his 3-pointers and has above-average defensive metrics, much like most of this Aztecs’ roster. He’ll play a solid role in his final campaign.

Guard/Forward – Micah Parrish (Junior)

Another very exciting transfer landed by Dutcher, Parrish spent the last two seasons at Oakland and was named to the Horizon League’s All-Defense team this past year. He averaged 12.1 points and 6.0 rebounds a game for the Golden Grizzlies and will certainly bring a presence and depth to this Aztecs bench, especially with his abilities on both sides of the ball.

Forward – Demarshay Johnson Jr. (Freshman)

A former 3-star big man who redshirted last season, Johnson is ready to contribute this year for the Aztecs, likely on the end of the bench. Johnson is still developing his skills, but has the size and athleticism to play all over the court. He can defend the interior, block shots, and also contribute offensively across the floor.

Guard – Miles Byrd (Freshman)

There’s a lot of veteran presence on this Aztec squad, while Byrd is one of the young pieces that is likely part of the future. Byrd brings a ton of versatility, showing his potential as on the defensive end as well as with his shooting numbers at the high school level. He may not see a ton of time as a freshman, but he’ll have Aztec fans excited a few years from now.

Forward – Elijah Saunders (Freshman)

A 6’8 power forward from Phoenix, Saunders is another 3-star prospect with exciting potential for the Aztecs. He’s still working on becoming a better defender, but he rates as a deadly force on offense, especially in the paint. Look for him to work on that defense and develop into an important scorer for the Aztecs in a few seasons.

Forward – Aguek Arop (Senior)

While his stats may look underwhelming, Arop provides a ton of things that don’t show up on the box scores. He brings energy and toughness and is a vital piece off the bench for the Aztecs. It’s his fifth and final season as well, and Arop certainly wants to finish his career on a high note as well.
