The games are back and the first week is over which means it is the return of the weekly Sunday Mailbag. We had to wait until Friday of the first week of games for the good games but from here on out for the next five months there will be fantastic games every night of the week that writers are going to analyze and overanalyze, and fans are going to overreact to. That is what makes this the best sport on the planet and couple that with the NCAA Basketball season occurring during the holiday season and everything is great.

For those who are new to this article or who just need a refresher, the Sunday Mailbag is the only time that the fans get to interact with a member of the Busting Brackets staff and pick my brain for knowledge of what is going on in the college basketball world. I take to Twitter and other social media sources to reach out to fans to ask them if they have any pressing college basketball questions, they would like answered. The questions usually revolve around what is going on in the basketball world throughout the current week. I will also get questions on the national outlook of the basketball world over the entire season.

There are three fan questions to answer this week and all of them have to do with preseason rankings. If you have been following along this year you know that recently we put out a team power rankings article where I rank every team starting with number 363 and heading down to 1. The answers I give to the article are going to be based on my rankings and where I ranked teams.

One of the questions does ask about where teams are in the conference rankings. Thank you for all of your reader questions. I enjoy this article every week. Keep the questions coming. Enjoy the first edition of the 2022-2023 Sunday Mailbag!
