The NCAA Basketball games are starting to ramp up and now that Feast week is officially over the non-conference season for most schools is also officially over. There is a new crop of players for the Busting Brackets player of the week for week three. After last week, I looked at the top players in the mid-major and high-major ranks over the first two weeks of the season. This week’s award is only going to be a span of one week for all of the players nominated.

In case you missed the awards from weeks 1 and 2 they were awarded to Sam Sessoms the point guard from Coppin State and the high major award went to another point guard, this time from Penn State in Jalen Pickett. Those two players are both very deserving and are going to be two of the better players at their level this season. If you are not familiar with how this article works I nominate 12 players from the mid-major ranks and 10 players from the power ranks. I then decide who had the best week and who was deemed the Busting Brackets Player of the Week.

As mentioned this week there is almost a whole new selection of players at the mid-major level and an entirely new selection of players in the high-major level. There were some huge games this week from players at both levels and those are the players who are likely going to be featured. It is always hard to come up with nominations from all of the great performances every week but here are the nominations and the winners below.
