Week four of the NCAA Basketball season has come and gone and there was a ton that happened over the week. There is a new number 1 as the Houston Cougars have been playing the best basketball of any team in the country. Conference play started for some conferences this week. There were also a ton of fantastic individual performances that are going to earn someone the Busting Brackets player of the week. This will be the third week the award has been given out.

This week there were a lot of great performances and paring down the list to 15 Mid Major and 10 high-major players were difficult. I hope I did not leave anyone off as there were a ton of 30-point games this week. The theme for this week was consistency. There were a lot of players who put up a huge game only to see their scoring suffer in the second game. The list of players for both the mid-majors and the power fives is below.

Those who are not familiar with the list and how things are chosen, I will provide you with some background on how the list is chosen. I go and review every game of the week and find the players who stood out among the rest. Yes, I go back and review every game even those against non-Division 1 opponents. I will then decide on the mid-major and power 5 players who had the best week out of everyone. Let’s get to the list of the players who are in the running for the Player of the Week this week.
