The NCAA Basketball Player of the Week is back again after a week five that saw a lot of different things. There do not seem to be any teams that you can confidently say that team can win a National Title. There is a new front-runner for the Wooden award this year and if the first month of the season has told you anything it is unexpected. There are going to be a ton more changes coming in the next few months.

The Player of the Week is going to look different this week because the games have started to slow down given that a lot of teams have finals coming up and the sport is going to take its natural break for the Christmas holiday. Last week I excluded a few players for only playing 1 game, this week I am going to have to keep those players in because a lot of the teams have only played one game this week. There have been a good number of fantastic performances this week even if the team has only played one game.

For those unfamiliar with this article, let me fill you in. There are 20 mid and low-major players who act as the nominees for the Busting Brackets Player of the Week for the week. I then pick the player that I felt had the best week out of all the nominees. I did the same thing for the Power five conferences. There are fewer power five teams than there are mid-majors so there are only 10 nominees for the Busting Brackets Player of the Week for the power 5. The nominees for this week are below.
