The Kansas Jayhawks blew out the Indiana Hoosiers by 22 points. The Indiana Hoosiers offense struggled a lot in this one, as they shot 37 percent from the floor.

In what was expected to be a good matchup between two top teams (as Jalen Hood-Schifino was playing), the Kansas Jayhawks blew out the Indiana Hoosiers, 84-62.  Gradey Dick led the way for the Jayhawks with 20 points on 66 percent shooting. The Hoosiers shot horribly from the field, as they shot 37 percent from the field overall.

For a game with a spread of 5.5, this game wasn’t really anything from the start. The Jayhawks ran away with this one early, as the Jayhawks were already up by double the Hoosiers score with around five minutes left in the first half.

The Hoosiers made a run toward the end of the first half, but the Jayhawks continued their dominance in the second half to get this game out of reach. Trayce Jackson-Davis would have a very tough match that rivaled his performance against Arizona in terms of struggle.

In his first game back from injury, Hood-Schifino would have a horrible game, shooting 18 percent from the floor. He ended up with a measly 11 points, 6 rebounds, and four assists. As things weren’t bad enough for the Hoosiers in this one, Xavier Johnson went down early with an injury. He would head to the locker room and not return.

Indiana’s offense was very poor in this one. For the expectations, they had going into these two top-25 games, Indiana has just not performed well on offense. The offense was very reminiscent of last season’s non-exist offense. A huge concern about that is they had Schifino healthy for this one.

Going forward, the Hoosiers should easily take care of their last two opponents (Elon, and Kennesaw St) in the calendar year. Conference play will be a major test for this Hoosiers offense. The defense isn’t as good as last season, but the offense should be improved. In the month of December, it simply hasn’t been better last than last season.

Kansas continues to prove that its performance in Atlantis was a fluke. Taking care of another team (I don’t wanna call this Indiana team solid, let’s call it noteworthy). They shouldn’t; lose another game in the rest of the calendar year (the last two opponents are Harvard and Oklahoma St)

With this blowout victory, the Jayhawks continue their claim as one of the best teams in the country. Gradey Dick, and Jalen Wilson are both one of the best in college basketball, and the Jayhawks are one of the best teams in their quest to repeat this season.
