Earlier last week, I did an article on the top 25 individual impact transfers midway through the 2022-23 NCAA Basketball. With over 1,000 options to choose from, I had to leave some deserving guys off the list.

This one looks at some that are truly flying under the radar, as they aren’t the respective stars of their teams but have still given contributions good enough to help those programs win. From a team alphabetical standpoint, here are the players that should get some recognition.

*Stats are through Jan 3*

Frankie Collins – Arizona State Sun Devils

2022-23 stats: 11.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 5.5 apg

The former Michigan guard didn’t play much as a freshman but has emerged as arguably the best player on a Sun Devil team that was ranked not too long ago. He’s the leading ball-handler and has led the team in scoring on several occasions, including 23 points at Texas Southern.

But the team is at its best when his priority is passing. He went for a season-high 11 assists in the win over San Diego, while having just three against Texas Southern and San Francisco, both of whom ended in defeats. Collins may not be the most efficient scorer in NCAA Basketball but has stabilized the point guard position for Arizona State after last year’s struggles.

Landers Nolley – Cincinnati Bearcats

2022-23 stats: 15.1 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 2.3 apg

Nolley is a double-digit scorer on his third different team but while he did average more as a freshman at Virginia Tech (15.5 ppg), he’s shooting with much better efficiency, making a career-high 47% shooting from the field and 43% from three-point range.

The senior has four games of at least 20+ points, including 33 in a loss to Arizona. The other times ended up in wins, including 23 points in a win over Tulane to open up AAC play. Nolley has played a key role in Cincinnati’s 2-0 start in league play and if he’s hot in March, could lead them to an NCAA Tournament bid.
