ACC Basketball power rankings: Clemson, UNC tumbles, does Louisville rise?

Entering last week, there were five conferences that still have one program without a league win. One of them was ACC Basketball, with the Louisville Cardinals in dead last place at 0-10 in the standings. There were a few close calls but for the most part, they’ve been getting blown out.

But the last two games provided Louisville with the best opportunity possible for wins, taking on Georgia Tech and Florida State. And to some surprise, they got their first ACC win to avoid the notorious 2018 Pittsburgh Panthers squad that went 0-18 in league play that year.

Now, I can truly say that there’s intrigue as to where everyone now is in the latest ACC Basketball power rankings. One key question is where Clemson, who lost two games this past week but still is No. 1 in the actual standings, is placed at. They’ve had such a great start to the season but are they actually on the bubble?

There are also Duke and North Carolina, who faced off in a battle of Blue Bloods in the first of hopefully many matchups between Hubert Davis and Jon Scheyer. How do the results factor into where both are placed?

Just three games separate the top nine teams in the standings, while programs such as Florida State, Boston College, and Virginia Tech are playing spoiler. What happens this upcoming week could very well decide who is still in the hunt for the ACC regular-season title, as well as who is still in the at-large conversation.
