As we all head back to work on Monday morning and discuss the weekend happenings in the College Basketball world, there is also going to be discussion on who had the best individual performances from the week in NCAA Basketball. The Busting Brackets Player of the Week award is back to award the best mid-major and best power six performances of the week. This week there may be some debate about the two players that I picked to win the award.

The players that I chose this week were the two players who stood out the most to me in the games I watched. They are also players who their teams rely on to score and play their best every night out. The two players do have an effect on winning and losing games for their respective teams and both players are having career years. Once you see the explanation of why both players won, it will make sense and we should be in agreement on why each player won the award.

The Power Six section consists of all players in the ACC, American, Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, SEC, and Gonzaga. The mid-major section is for the players who play in every other conference. I decide who had the best week from all of the individual performances throughout the week. That usually comes from watching films, highlights, and most importantly the actual game. That is where my list of nominees is created, and after taking into account every game that the individual played I will choose a player from my list of nominees and determine the winner. The winners for this week are below.
