NCAA Basketball is now on the clock for the next month. The college basketball world will be at the forefront of sports. This is the time of year when the sport shines; it sees the end of the regular season, straight into Championship week, and right into the NCAA and the NIT Tournaments. This is also the time of the year when we see great individual performances night in and night out and makes choosing the winner of the Busting Brackets player of the week extremely difficult.
This week was no exception as there were a ton of players who were worthy of the award but only two can win each week. The mid-major winner is a player who has already won this award multiple times this season and it is for good reason. He is one of the elite players in the game and his illustrious career is going to be coming to an end soon with that hopefully, a record falls. On the Power 6 side of things, we see a new player who has never been mentioned in any of these articles but earned the recognition this week from his individual play.
Basketball is a team game and an individual can either win a game for their team or lose a game for their team by playing uncharacteristically bad basketball for them. The player may look good on the stat sheet but the rest of the team may suffer. This article is not giving out team awards. It is strictly for the Busting Brackets player of the week, regardless of results who had the best individual week? Starting with the Mid Major Player of the Week below.
