3. Miami Hurricanes – 23-6 (14-5)

The week for Miami started out fairly well, getting a Quad 1 road win at Virginia Tech. The score was 76-70, led by 17 points and 14 rebounds from Norchad Omier. He was one of five players in double figures, which included 29 points combined from Nijel Pack and Isaiah Wong.

Pack wasn’t available for Miami’s game on the weekend at home against Florida State but it didn’t look as if they needed him. They raced out to an early double-digit lead that grew to as much as 25 points in the second half. It should’ve been over but the Hurricanes let their feet off the gas, allowing the Seminoles to stage a historic comeback late. A buzzer-beater from Matthew Cleveland ended up beating Miami, 85-84.

It was the largest-ever comeback in ACC basketball history and a game that could’ve cost the Hurricanes the ACC regular-season title. All five starters were in double figures, even without Pack. Jordan Miller had 21 points, while Bensley Joseph had 12 points, seven rebounds, and five assists in the start.

Miami will have a week to stool over this loss and will take on Pittsburgh on Saturday in the regular-season finale, with both the title and a 1 seed potentially on the line.
