We’re just a week away from Selection Sunday and knowing who and where teams are playing in the NCAA Basketball Tournament. But something new that’s happening is players being able to officially enter the portal 60 days after next Monday without any restrictions.

But with teams ending their seasons in conference tournaments, we’re starting to see some players make their intentions known that they intend to enter the transfer portal, looking for a new team. Almost 10 players entered on Monday, with one notable name getting some national attention in BJ Mack.

Mack is a 6-8 and 250-pound big man out of the Charlotte, North Carolina area who originally started his career at South Florida. After one year of limited action, he transferred down to Wofford, where he slowly developed into an all-conference caliber player.

This past season, the forward led the Terriers with 16.6 ppg and 5.6 rpg while shooting 49% from the field and 36% from three-point range. On fewer attempts the year prior, Mack averaged 45% from deep to prove that he’s a capable stretch option offensively. He’s had a number of big individual performances, such as 28 points and 10 rebounds against UNC-Greensboro, along with 26 points against Gardner-Webb.

He’s the kind of skilled athlete and scorer that’ll get interest among the power conference programs as one of the top early transfers in the portal. It’s obviously way too early to see what all the rosters will look like but there are a number of programs that are guaranteed to lose some frontcourt talent.

Here’s a look at eight teams that I think could be in the mix for Mack.
