With the season ending for more and more NCAA Basketball teams, that means players are now looking at their respective options, including potentially entering the transfer portal. For graduate transfers and those entering their extra year due to covid, they can officially enter the portal before Monday. That includes Nicolas Timberlake, a 5th-year senior from Towson that led the team to a 21-win season before losing to College of Charleston in the CAA Tournament semifinals.
Timberlake, a 6-4 shooting guard from the state of Massachusetts, has developed into an all-conference player in the past couple of years for the Tigers. He averaged a team-leading 17.7 ppg, shooting 46% from the field and 42% from three-point range. The guard also produced a career-high 2.4 apg on the season as well.
The former CAA 6th Man of the Year was in double figures for 27 of the 33 games this season, including 12 with at least 20 points. There was a three-game stretch in league play where Timberlake was the best player in the CAA, scoring 29, 26, and a career-high 34 points against College of Charleston right before in the conference tournament. He finished his career with 17 points and six rebounds on Monday in the semifinals.

Timberlake becomes the newest addition to the portal as a potential 6th-year senior. He offers experience, shooting, and overall scoring to just about any team. And there will be plenty that could use his services next season.
Although thereâs plenty of roster movement to be had in the next month or so, there will be some teams that clearly will want to look at Timberlake. Here are eight that come to mind and why.
