Drake vs Miami NCAA Tournament Round 1: How to watch, odds and predictions for March Madness
By Adam Weinrib
When Drake takes to the basketball court, he typically gets ridiculed and accused of bandwagoning. After the Drake vs Miami first-round March Madness matchup, the rapper could get a chance to bandwagon his own namesake with an upset victory. Either that, or rock the Turnover Chain and pretend he’s always been a Hurricane. Both seem tempting!
Now piloted by head coach Darian DeVries, the Drake Bulldogs are on a quest to make their second Final Four in school history — yup, that actually happened. 1969. You can look it up. Coach Keno Davis, succeeding his father and Iowa legend Dr. Tom Davis, also brought Drake to the tourney in 2008, where they were upset on a last-second Western Kentucky buzzer-beater.
This year, it’s up to Miami and third-team All-American Isaiah Wong to rise up and knock ’em off.

Drake vs Miami NCAA Tournament Round 1 prediction
Last March was the Season of Wong, and after a season where Miami was supposed to hang back a bit in the ACC, they managed to remain a sharp-shooting top-25 team all year long. Buried in a strange side of the bracket led by hobbled Houston and Texas, a team that could easily be upended by Texas A&M, expect Miami to make Drake the first stop on their journey back to the Elite 8.
Prediction: Miami 75, Drake 62
