March Madness claimed another victim on Thursday, with Arizona falling to Princeton and the meme game coming through strong.

It didn’t take long for another bracket buster to blow through the first day of March Madness.

Hours after Virginia fell to Furman, Princeton shook things up by beating Arizona.

It marks the third straight year in which a No. 15 seed has pulled off a first round upset, which is almost as unprecedented as the upset happening in the first place. Most folks assumed the trend couldn’t continue, based on history, but here we are with the Tigers having moved on to the Round of 32 for the first time since 1996 and the Wildcats going home after having drawn the ire of everyone who made a bracket.

Arizona was picked in almost everyone’s bracket to move on to at least the next round, if not much further. Now, according to ESPN, under 5 percent of brackets made remain perfect and we’re not even halfway through the slate of games on the tournament’s first day.

Needless to say, the meme game was strong.

Does Steve Kerr son play for Arizona?

We all thought the big question coming out of Thursday’s game was going to be how much further Arizona could go. Instead, here we are where the most interesting question about the Wildcats — other than screaming into the dark night sky ‘WHY?!’ — is asking whether Steve Kerr’s son plays for the team.

Somehow, some way you probably happened across this question. Steve Kerr’s son did play college basketball but it was for California.

Kerr Kriisa does play for Arizona but is not related to Steve Kerr. There is, however a connection to the legendary NBA icon. Arizona Kerr is named in honor of NBA Kerr, but that’s where the connection ends.

Just like Arizona’s chances of winning the national championship this year.
