Alabama vs. San Diego State NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 prediction

San Diego State is one of the best defensive teams in the country, but we have seen them struggle on offense at times throughout this tournament.

Head coach Brian Dutcher stated that he would “tip his hat” to the team that can finally knock off the Aztecs, should that team emerge victorious, and it might well happen on Friday night.

Texas A&M Corpus Christi held Alabama star Brandon Miller to zero points in the round of 64, and Alabama struggled to see the ball go through the basket in the first half of their game against Maryland. But Alabama got it going in the second half, and from that point forward, the game was never in doubt.

The Aztecs’ defense may cause additional problems for the Crimson Tide’s offense, but it won’t be enough to slow down the number one team in the country.

Prediction: Alabama 68, San Diego State 61
