Houston vs Miami NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 odds
Per odds posted on FanDuel Sportsbook, the Cougars are a 7.5-point favorite against the Canes, with an over/under in the game of 138.5. Moneyline on the Cougars is -315, and currently sits at +250 on the Hurricanes.
Both teams were almost dead even against the spread this season, but Houston has been nearly unbeatable on moneyline bets, going 33-3-0. Both the Canes and Cougars were under .500 on Over/Under wagers.
Houston’s size may present some problems for Miami’s quick offense, which may be why the over/under is a bit lower than many games so far in the tournament. 65 percent of the bettors are putting money on Miami to beat the large spread.
Houston vs Miami NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 prediction
Neither Drake nor Indiana had any answer for Miami’s offense, and for that trend to continue against Houston, Isaiah Wong will have to be hot from long-distance.
Memphis may have provided a good road map on how to take down the Cougars, but Miami may not have the size and physicality to play that game. Their offense will keep them in it, but Houston will be the winner here. The bettors are probably right to take the Canes ATS.
