Nebraska Cornhuskers

It was a solid season for Nebraska, the first in the Coach Fred Hoiberg era where they truly belonged in the Big Ten. They’ll have to replace a pair of key pieces though, including starting center, Derrick Walker. He led the team in all three main categories as well and was a good interior defender as well.

The Cornhuskers were a solid defense but it’s hard to see either Wilhelm Breidenbach or Blaise Keita being capable of playing big minutes. It would be a good opportunity to get someone like Shedrick as the clear starting center and shore up the defense, while CJ Wilcher and Keisei Tominaga take care of the offensive end.

St. Joe’s Hawks

The Hawks are a team with plenty of potential for next season, thanks to all the key guards (Cam Brown, Erik Reynolds, Lynn Green) coming back for another year. This is one of the top offensive units in the A-10 but the defense has been a big question in the Coach Billy Lange era.

With senior big man Ejike Obinna gone, St. Joe’s is going to need another big man. And they could greatly use someone like Shedrick on the defensive end to uplift the defense and he’d be a one-year rental to not clog future minutes from freshman big, Christ Essandoko.
