Missouri Tigers

One team that’s expected to have interest in at least one center this NCAA Basketball is Missouri, who only had one rotation player taller than 6’8. And that was Mohamed Diarra, who recently entered the transfer portal himself. Noah Carter, who played most of the minutes at the five-spot, could come back for one more year.

Either way, the Tigers are going to need some size to compete in the SEC and remain an NCAA Tournament contender. Coach Dennis Gates has done well with mid-major transfers, so imagine what he’ll do with a former five-star prospect?

Ole Miss Rebels

The Rebels made a controversial but big hire with Coach Chris Beard, who should be able to jumpstart the Rebels’ program. He’ll have to completely revamp the frontcourt, with four forwards all gone, with no eligibility left. The one that did was Jaemyn Brakefield, a 6’8 starting forward that briefly entered the transfer portal after Coach Kermit Davis was fired.

Brakefield recently decided that he would come back, giving Ole Miss its four-man. They still need a starting center and Ware is a regional option. He’d be the guaranteed starter for them and Coach Beard could help with his motor on both ends, which was considered a question mark at times this season.
