Providence Friars

I didn’t include Penn State because based on Twitter, there didn’t seem to be a nice reaction from the Rams players during the whole saga that ended with Coach Rhoades leaving them. But if Baldwin doesn’t want to play for him, he could go to another former A-10 coach in Kim English, who went from George Mason to Providence.

The Friars are reportedly bringing back Devin Carter and Bryce Hopkins, while also adding 16 ppg scoring forward, Josh Oduro. Who they don’t have is a starting point guard, as Jared Bynum entered the portal. Baldwin would be a perfect player to plug in at point and he and Carter would be a top-5 defensive backcourt in all of NCAA Basketball.

St. John’s Red Storm

The Red Storm has a new head coach, with Hall-of-Famer Rick Pitino coming in from Iona. The backcourt from this past season is now gone, as AJ Storr, Posh Alexander, and Andre Curbelo have all entered the portal. They’re going to land a few newcomers, including potentially scoring guard, Walter Clayton from Iona.

What the Red Storm doesn’t have is a ball-handler to run the offense. Baldwin would be an ideal player to lead the new group and create a winning culture in the Big East. He’s also the type of point guard that Coach Pitino had during his days at Louisville, which included a national title.
