Baylor Bears

Compared to preseason expectations, Baylor underachieved overall this year. They finished with a 23-11 record and went to the Round of 32, despite having three different 15 ppg scorers on the season. All of them were guards, led by freshman Keyonte George. He’s off to the NBA Draft as expected, while LJ Cryer has also entered his name and could leave too.

The other guard in the group is Adam Flager, who is a 5th-year senior. He does have an extra year left of eligibility but odds are that he’ll move on. That means the Bears will look completely different but still have some talent, including five-star guard commit, JaKobe Walter.

The big issue with Baylor this past season was a lack of frontcourt production. Jalen Bridges was the lone double-digit capable threat, while bigs Flo Thamba and Jonathan Tchamwa Tchatchoua provide little offense at the five-spot. And with the defense not being very good either collectively, the frontcourt was simply a net negative.

Dickinson would be an instant upgrade in the frontcourt and become the star of the team. And no disrespect to Coach Juwan Howard but he’d be playing for a national title-winning head coach in Scott Drew. Baylor is an option that appears out of nowhere but assuming they want some frontcourt help, should at least make a call.
