4. Washington Huskies

Unlike some of the options available here, Menifield was the top guard option for the Huskies and can remain that way going forward. He’d be joined by top-40 freshman guard Wesley Yates in the backcourt if he stays. The problem is the rest of the roster, as there are a number of seniors that could be gone, including leading scorer, Keion Brooks.

If Brooks is gone, Washington, who was just .500 overall to begin with, would likely remain that way next season, unless Menifield and Yates become an elite backcourt. There are other options that are going to offer a better chance to make the NCAA Tournament but not guaranteed playing time. Knowing who is coming back would make this an easier choice.

3. Alabama Crimson Tide

Seeing Menifield in a Crimson Tide uniform would be a treat for NCAA Basketball fans, as he’d excel in Coach Nate Oats’ offense. And with leading scorer Brandon Miller and Jahvon Quinerly gone, there’s a need for another scoring guard to join the fold.

The chances of winning and making the Big Dance are high here but the availability for minutes aren’t a guarantee. Ball-handlers Mark Sears and Jaden Bradley can come back and they just added Wichita State transfer, Jaykwon Walton. If he is eligible to play this season, that could have an impact on Minifield in the rotation.
