3. Clemson

Clemson had arguably the strangest 2022-23 season of any ACC team. The Tigers started 10-1 in ACC play, were first in the league standings for most of the season, and made the ACC Tournament semifinals, but ultimately missed the NCAA Tournament.

Clemson brings back PJ Hall, who led the ACC with 22.4 points per 36 minutes. They also return Chase Hunter (13.8 PTS, 4.5 AST), who did a phenomenal job transitioning from shooting guard to point guard last season.

Brad Brownell has already landed one transfer in Jake Heidbreder, who averaged 15.1 points and started all 32 games at Air Force this past season. He’ll replace some of the shooting lost by Hunter Tyson’s departure.

If they can avoid more early-season letdowns, this Clemson team should be talented enough to go dancing next March.
