For those that are interested in the NCAA Basketball transfer portal, there are usually a group of players during the season that would be good candidates once it opened. One of them was Harrison Ingram, a former five-star prospect in the 2021 recruiting class that committed to Stanford.

After averaging 10.5 ppg as a freshman starter, Ingram returned to college for his sophomore campaign. Although he was viewed as a breakout candidate, that ultimately didn’t happen statistically. The 6’8 wing averaged 10.5 ppg, 5.8 rpg, and 3.7 apg this past season, shooting 41% from the field and 32% from the three-point line.

Ingram isn’t a high-volume scorer but is one of the better all-around players in NCAA Basketball. He had a 24-point game against Ole Miss in the non-conference, along with several games where he was on triple-double watch. He’s a quality passer out of the wing spot and has the size to defend multiple positions.

As I said before, part of the reason why Ingram was a transfer portal candidate is that the Cardinal wasn’t good once again. They finished with a 14-19 overall record and were 10th in the Pac-12. Despite head coach Jerod Haase coming back for another season, the sophomore wing made the decision to become a free agent.

Ingram is a native of Dallas, Texas but will have interest from all throughout the country. So which teams make the most sense? Here’s a list of eight potential contenders to keep an eye on.
