Houston Cougars

Like Baylor, the Cougars are losing a lot of talent on the perimeter. Marcus Sasser is going pro, while Tramon Mark has entered the transfer portal himself. There’s also point guard Jamal Shead, who is in the NBA Draft process but he should be coming back. It’s a spot where they can add Ingram and use his all-around ability to make up for some of the losses.

Houston has to add as much talent as possible as it heads to the Big 12, which is a large leap from top-to-bottom compared to the AAC. They certainly are able to add transfers but still have some returning players that are expecting some playing time. Ingram can fill multiple holes in the program and is a proven power conference starter.

Kentucky Wildcats

This option is entirely dependent on what happens with wing Antonio Reeves. If he comes back then ignore this team. But if he remains in the NBA Draft or even transfers out, Ingram would be a near-perfect fit. The team has several five-star freshmen guards joining the roster that needs the ball to succeed and it could be hard to find a talented veteran that fits the program.

Ingram is a veteran, has a high IQ, and can be another passer on the court. While he’s not the best shooter, the sophomore brings so much else and would help Coach John Calipari on the court. He’d also be another Stanford transfer to join Kentucky, as Reid Travis had an impact a few years ago.
