The scene is ever-changing in the world of college basketball. We’ve just seen a magnificent NCAA Tournament and the nearly 400 Division 1 college basketball programs are now fully in offseason mode. The chaos of the Transfer Portal and the adjustment of coaching changes will fill the news in the coming weeks, but that’s not the only change on the horizon.

Conference realignment continues to change the framework of collegiate sports, and there is another number of moves in this offseason. Recent Final Four surprise Florida Atlantic is leading a crew of teams to the AAC, but the reason for that move is a much bigger one that depleted their new league. This upcoming season will see the Big 12 add Cincinnati, Houston, and UCF from the AAC while also adding BYU, offsetting the loss of Oklahoma and Texas next offseason.

Things will be pretty different next season in Big 12 Basketball, and those new teams will have quite the adjustment. This was the best and deepest basketball conference last season, with Baylor and Kansas boasting recent titles, while Texas, Texas Tech, and a few other schools have been extremely competitive in recent years. Part of the reason for their rise is an influx of talent in this league, but also because of the coaching talent in the Big 12.

Today, we’re going to be ranking the head coaches in this league, an activity we’re doing for the first time since the addition of those four new members. As previously said, things are changing in the Big 12 and this is really our first look at the broad scope of the league. It’s far too early to evaluate players or lineups for next season, but let’s get right into where these coaches stand against each other, starting at the bottom of this list.
