2. Gonzaga Bulldogs

There’s a lone option out west for Armstrong if he prefers that coast. And it’s one of the best programs in NCAA Basketball. Gonzaga has a great history with point guards that includes a variety of different types such as Kevin Pangos, Nigel Williams-Goss, and Andrew Nembhard. It’s a team that makes the NCAA Tournament every year and is on the national stage.

What makes this a unique situation is that they have a starting point guard still on the roster in Nolan Hickman, who struggled in the final games of the season. The Bulldogs could play both at the same time in the backcourt, which has been done in the past by the program with success.

1. Creighton Bluejays

A week ago, Creighton wouldn’t have even been a viable option for the Cal Baptist transfer. But after starting ball-handler Ryan Nembhard entered the transfer portal, that leaves open the point guard position. It’s a team that barring any more departures, is still a top-10 team and Armstrong would have more talent surrounding him than ever before.

The Bluejays seem to be looking to fill the hole quickly and Armstrong would be a nice fit. He can get the ball to Trey Alexander and Arthur Kaluma and get to play for a Final Four contender. While the transfer would be a slight downgrade from Nembhard, it wouldn’t be by much at all.
