20. Jaden House – High Point to Rhode Island

2022-23 season stats: 17.3 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 2.3 apg

The 6’4 guard led the team in scoring this past season and has developed quite well over the last three years. House scored at least nine points in every single game, including a career-high 33 points in just 24 minutes in an early-season victory over Wofford. He’s not much of a three-point shooter (28%) but gets the free throw line at a high clip at seven attempts a game.

Rhode Island is in desperate need of a scoring guard, as they lost both Brayon Freeman and this season’s leading scorer, Ishmael Leggett. The Rams finished next-to-last in the A-10 this past season and are in need of as much production this offseason. House is a good start in that regard.

19. Lance Jones – Southern Illinois to Purdue

2022-23 season stats: 13.8 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 2.4 apg

The four-year starter has averaged at least 13 ppg in the last three years, with a career three-point percentage of 33% on five attempts. Jones, who also is a multi-time all-defender in the Missouri Valley, had 28 points against Northern Iowa towards the end of the year.

Purdue could bring back National Player of the Year Zach Edey, which would instantly make them contenders next season. But they need guards who can create and not rely on being open from deep thanks to the big man. While he’s no Jaden Ivey, Jones can fill that role as a capable veteran scorer next season as a potential 6th Man.
