4. Xavier Musketeers
The Musketeers are expected to lose both Jack Nunge and Zach Freemantle this offseason, leaving the frontcourt wide open. They already landed a center in the portal in Indiana transfer, Logan Duncomb. He’s a reserve that didn’t play much so even if Shedrick were to join them, there wouldn’t be a ton of competition between them.
Still, when you include incoming freshman Kachi Nzeh, there’s already some frontcourt depth for Xavier. They could certainly use the former Virginia center but also have other positions of need in both the backcourt and forward spot. You certainly take him but there are other teams that make more sense.
3. Kansas State Wildcats
The Wildcats are set to lose a lot of talent this offseason, including Marquis Nowell and Keyontae Johnson. They do lose a bit in the frontcourt, including veteran Abayomi Iyiola. They still bring back David N’Guessan and Nae’Qwan Tomlin, who combined for 54 starts this past season.
Both are capable of shooting and spreading the floor, so you can make it work if you place Shedrick at the five-spot. And the offensive playmaker of Nowell hid the fact that Kansas State was an at-best average defense. There are some clear pros and cons here but the top two options just don’t have the same kind of problems.
