2. Missouri Tigers

The Tigers got good news this past week with forward Noah Carter coming back for an extra season. He played a good portion of his minutes at the center position but at 6’6 makes the team vulnerable from a size standpoint. The team also lost Mohamed Diarra to the portal and he was the lone true big on the rotation this past season.

Shedrick is the perfect option for Missouri when it comes to interior defense. They landed Colorado State transfer John Tonje to boost the backcourt scoring but still need a true big man to round out the roster. A guy that doesn’t need the offense like the former Cavalier big would be an ideal fit.

1. Duke Blue Devils

As good a fit as Missouri is for Shedrick, it’s hard to not have the Duke Blue Devils as a No. 1 option when there are minutes available. Former No. 1 prospect Dereck Lively has left for the NBA Draft and backup Christian Reeves may not be ready for primetime. They’re a team that’s bringing back some key pieces and have the No. 2 incoming recruiting class as well.

Shedrick has made the NCAA Tournament a couple of times but Virginia has had a ceiling. Duke’s ceiling is much higher, already as a preseason top-10 team and if Kyle Filipowski comes back, could be a No. 1 team overall. And if you add one of the better interior defenders in NCAA Basketball at the five-spot next to him, the Blue Devils will be in excellent shape.
