16. JR TJ Bamba – Washington State Cougars

2022-23 season stats: 15.8 ppg, 3.7 rpg, 1.7 apg

It was a breakout junior season for Bamba, doubling his scoring production to lead the Cougars. Bamba shot 37% from three-point range and had six games with at least 20 points. One of them was a 36-point effort at Washington on 13/20 shooting from the field. The Bronx native has developed into one of the better scoring guards not only on the west coast but in NCAA Basketball overall.

15. SO Taran Armstrong – Cal Baptist Lancers

2022-23 season stats: 11.3 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 5.0 apg

The former WAC Rookie of the Year has a triple-double as a freshman, as well as a 15-assist game against North Dakota. Armstrong showed more offense this past season as a sophomore, scoring 20+ on four different occasions. One was a 25-point effort against Southern Utah. The 6’5 playmaker is currently on the NBA scout radars and at a bigger platform could really see his stock move up.

14. JR Steven Ashworth – Utah State Aggies

2022-23 season stats: 16.2 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 4.5 apg

As (mostly) a full-time starter, Ashworth had a breakout campaign, leading Utah State in scoring en route to making the NCAA Tournament. He also shot over 43% from three-point range, including two games with 8 three-pointers made. One of those was in a career-high 30-point game against Oral Roberts.

13. JR Kadin Shredrick – Virginia Cavaliers

2022-23 season stats: 6.2 ppg, 3.8 apg, 1.4 bpg

Though his playing time and overall role have been limited in the past two years, Shedrick has shown to be one of the best interior players in all of NCAA Basketball at Virginia. The 6’11 big man had a 6-block game two years ago, while he finished his career at UVA with 15 points and 13 rebounds in the Big Dance against Furman.
