Kansas Basketball: Analyzing transfer targets Harrison Ingram, Hunter Dickinson and Primo Spears
Harrison Ingram – Stanford Cardinal
2022-23 season stats: 10.5 ppg, 5.8 rpg, 3.7 apg
Kansas has lost a five-star prospect in Rice but could be trying to land another one in Ingram, who was a high-profile commitment to the Cardinal two years ago. He’s one of the better all-around players when it comes to playmaking and filling up the stat sheet but Ingram isn’t much of a dynamic shooter and overall scorer.
The 6’8 wing shot just 41% from the field and 32% from three-point range and did have 10 straight games of double-digit scoring to end the season. Ingram had 24 points against Ole Miss in his lone 20+ point scoring game but it’s his all-around game that makes him interesting.
This is an NBA Draft prospect when the offense gets going and the hope is that a better program and better-surrounding talent can make Ingram take the next step in his development. This also will come down to whether or not Kansas even needs him, as Kevin McCullar’s future decision will decide whether or not the team even needs the former Pac-12 Rookie of the Year.
This looks to be a battle between Kansas Basketball and North Carolina for Ingram’s services. In the beginning, the Tar Heels have the edge but reportedly, the tables may have turned. Let’s see if the Jayhawks can bring it home and land a key transfer.
