Hunter Dickinson – Michigan Wolverines

2022-23 season stats: 18.5 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 1.5 apg

The frontcourt of Jalen Wilson and KJ Adams looked great for Kansas this past season. But without the star forward, that leaves a current group of bigs that aren’t great offensive options. Adams will be a starter but neither Ernest Udeh nor Zuby Ejiofor, both of who are freshmen, don’t give much scoring.

And this is part of an overall offseason question for Kansas. There isn’t much scoring on the roster coming back and the key returning pieces are more known for defense rather than offense. So if they can get a 20 ppg scoring big man to throw the ball down to, that makes perfect sense.

There isn’t a better post scorer in the transfer portal than Dickinson, who is a 3-time All-Big Ten big man from Michigan. The 7’1 center shot 56% from the field and 42% from three-point range while producing 15 double-doubles. He went for 32 points and 12 rebounds in a win over Maryland, along with 26 points and 11 rebounds versus Ohio State, along with numerous other big games.

Dickinson is reportedly looking to visit Kansas in the next week, while both Georgetown and Maryland are in the mix as well. And a reunion with Michigan is also on the table as well.
